Where will the information be distributed?
The Energy Efficiency Alliance assures the confidentiality of all data entered. This is guaranteed by a short legal contract (see "Privacy"). Scores for verified data are pooled together in order to generate quintile ratings, making it possible for owners/property managers to see how their buildings compare to others that have been assessed. No data which could be used to identify the buildings or companies are included.
Who will use this information?
The assessment is intended for property managers and owners of commercial and multi-residential buildings. If a participating organization and its members wish, the rating can become the basis of an award program (for example the Hotel Association of Canada).

Why should I obtain third party verification?
Third-party verification:
- Allows you to compare your building to others that have had their data verified.
- Is an excellent way to get affordable expert advice. Green Leaf assessors are either licensed architects or licensed building services engineers.
- Entitles the building to display a Green Leaf plaque publicizing the building's superior performance. An alternative to doing the online assessment yourself is to have it done entirely by an assessor. The advantage of this approach is that you will automatically have a verified assessment.
How do I obtain third-party verification?
